SCOPE provides a camp experience to less fortunate children that are financially unable to attend. Without the support of SCOPE and all of the donations and efforts made by supporters, children are deprived of the life-enhancing camp experience. So you may ask, why support SCOPE? Not only is camp a summer home to all children who are given the gift of it , but it creates a safe and fun environment for these children to grow. This unmatchable experience promotes self-growth, learning how to be independent, and how to act in different social environments. By sending children to camp, they make new friendships that will last a lifetime. These children also are given an escape from reality by going to camp, because all of the struggles at home are left behind. The seven of us are fortunate enough to attend sleep away camp every summer and we are determined to give others the same experiences we have had.
